hotsell This square plate combines clear body and a colorful geometric design aligned along one of diagonals. As a result, you have a feeling of something lightweight hanging in the center. This colorful "hammock" is hanged with invisible ropes connected to two red squares in opposite corners of the plate. In reality the colors in this plate are softer than in the pictures, which adds charm and beauty. The clear body is not "ideally" clear, like mass-production plate would be. Hundreds of tiny bubbles inside the body remind about handmade nature of the plate.
I used 200 stringers - thin colorful glass sticks - to make this plate. All these stringers were fused with a clear glass base at 1500F. They are mixed in a special way, and behind a chaotic mixture of colors you may see either colorful squares or intricate zigzags.
The edges of the plate are ground and polished. The plate is food safe, and you may use a dishwasher at your own risk.
