This is just one piece that I had made for a school play. However, the play was not put on and the students have not worn the pieces that were made for the event. So their loss could be your gain!
The piece shown is an outer dress that splits hotsell down the front middle, though when laced closed it appears to have no opening. There are minor imperfections but it doesn't take away from the outer gown itself.
The bodice is made out of a soft canvas like material with a diamond design. It is lined with black cotton. There are two strips of boning at the front, making sure that it does not buckle when you laced it closed. The sleeves are like little flower caps that are pleated at the top.
The skirt is made out of a thick black cotton. It is knife pleated from back to front and is attached to the bodice. At the bottom of the skirt there is a diamond patterned made with purple, blue, and green ribbons as well as little patches of the bodice's fabric. The hem of the skirt is about 160".
Measurements are taken at closure. While this gown will be supportive of the chest, as it's cut in a curved manner, it is not meant to hold anyone in or lace tightly. So while it may fit those smaller, it would only fit those larger if the front is left to gape open.
