Product code: Omaha World Herald hotsell Plant Building & Hundreds of Workers 1948 10" x 40" Sepia Photograph Historical Panoramic Photo

What a wonderful sepia panoramic photo featuring the newly built Omaha World Herald plant shortly after construction was completed in 1948. The photo was taken by Bee Publishing, as it shows in the 4th photo. The only other photo that I could find after hours of searching online is the final image, which shows the building while under construction, showing the unique curved front of the building, and confirming that it is indeed the Omaha World Herald Plant. The plant was located at 1334 Dodge St., Omaha, Nebraska. The structure was vacated after The World-Herald bought the building at 1314 Douglas St. in 2006. The distinctive, curved entrance to the building at the center of the picture is still standing as a gateway of sorts to the green space that now makes up the block. It is amazing that the photo is still intact after all these years. A wonderful photo capturing all of the employees at that time. Do you know someone in this photo?

The photo itself has just a bit of separation around the edges in a couple of places, but the image is not damaged, and will look wonderful in a nicer frame. As shown, the frame is all chipped and made with a plastic overlay, and is most likely a full-length mirror frame. This is the condition it was in when I took possession of it. This piece measures 41-1/2" x 11-1/2", and it does have glass in it, making it pretty heavy. There is no value to the frame, other than keeping it protected. I will safely pack this to try and protect the glass from breakage during shipment, but it is a long, narrow piece of glass, and would it break during shipment, there could be damage to the photograph. I will have to place a rigid piece of paneling or something in front of it to prevent it from getting crushed.

Shipping weight is 10 lbs. with the glass and frame, and will cost $42.00 USD including full coverage insurance. It costs the same to ship it without the glass and frame due to it's size. PLEASE convo me prior to making the purchase to discuss shipment options.
