This one-of-a-kind treasure is distinctive because of its unusually dramatic grain patterns. It's combination of dramatic colors and texture will fit compliment most decors and styles.

It would make a wonderful addition to holiday hotsell entertaining, important celebrations, or as a cherished gift. It also has excellent multi-use potential.

Size: Although it is a fairly large organizer, it was intentionally designed to be long but somewhat narrow. For dining purposes its 7.5 inch width will fit comfortably at the center of most dining tables.

Capacity: You'll see in the pictures that the base piece has a valley designed to securely hold standard 10 inch to 11 inch plates. Any of the Aspen dividers can be easily removed and reinserted. Without any dividers it will hold up to 10 plates.

Portability: The end pieces were made smaller to serve two functions. At the bottom they allow generous room for secure carrying. Their lower height also makes for easier access for smaller objects.

Multi-Use: It would make an equally distinctive impact as a desk organizer. You'll see examples in the pictures. If used primarily as a desk organizer, it could be easily put to use for spot dining needs for the person who does minimal finer entertaining.

Construction: The entire piece was constructed using the somewhat forgotten art of spaced dowel joinery. The 32 dowels create an unusual floating look; giving the frame an elevated feel above the base and the inner sections a suspended feel between the frames. While it is a fairly involved process, the result is a truly unique airy and open feel.

Finish: The deep finish is the result of numerous applications of natural Tung oil followed by several coats of natural shellac, which have been buffed to give the surface a fine luster. The finish process also brings out the the dazzling grain patterns.

Section Dimensions:

The large end section is 12 x 5 inches
The center space has four 1 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch sections
The right space has two 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch sections

Cleaning: The tray should be hand cleaned with mild soap and water. It should not be put in a dishwasher or immersed in water. Although short exposure to light rain shouldn't harm it, prolonged rain exposure should be avoided.
