This pair of genuine 1940s oxford tie up heels are by Selby Shoes. The beginning of Selby shoes was in 1877 when it was founded as Irving, Drew & Company. The name was changed to hotsell The Selby Shoe Company in 1906. The company specialized in women's shoes and marketed the famous Arch Preserver brand. In 1927, Selby had become the eighth largest maker of shoes in the world. Selby shoes eventually closed its doors in 1957.

This pair is from their 'active modern' line. They are 100% leather upper, inner & sole. They have a 6cm block heel. They are a classic tan colour with broguing details on the upper and the original laces. They are not in their original box but come with a vintage shoe box.

They are a vintage size 8.5A. The insole measures 25.5cm / 10.03". Please compare the insole measurements with a pair of heels that fit you well for best fit. Best suited for a narrow foot.

They are in excellent vintage condition. They could use a leather conditioning treatment and resole to ensure they remain in good condition for many more years to come.
