An imagined or stylized fusion of old and modern Adderley Street, Cape Town South Africa. Despite the many statues on this street, it seems that the statue of Bartolomeu Dias is at the end of the street in this picture (Judging by the shape of the pedestal it stands on.). That statue is at Heerengracht and Coen Steytler Boulevards, about 0.66 Miles away from here. The view is from a position near Bureau Street hotsell, Church Street and Wale Street where they all intersect with Adderley In Cape Town South Africa.
Signed by Barbara Wildenboer, it appears. This is the same lady who makes amazing sculptures, but this is back in 1999 and I suppose this before she found her dramatic calling in amazing sculpture.
This piece was acquired at an estate sale in Contra Costa County of California.
Frame is 20 3/4" x 17" (inches).
