Lovely and unique, this pendant subtly celebrates feminine goddess energy. Montana agate and bloodstone are brought together through lead-free silver-based soldering. A dark patina and brass gilding paint were then selectively distressed to compliment the colors of the stones as well as give the necklace a weathered vintage look.

About Montana Agate:
Montana moss agate is only found in the Yellowstone River and its tributaries between Billings and Sidney, Montana, hence it is also known as Yellowstone agate (or Iris agate). It formed during the Pleistocene as a result of volcanic eruptions and massive lava flows. Its red inclusions are courtesy of its red iron oxide contents while black comes from manganese oxide.
Montana agate is a great companion for other stones as it's thought to magnify the benefits offered by the others. It's also good for mindfulness for those looking to build good habits by offering self control in the face of decisions where you're being seriously tempted to do something that may not be in your best interest.
About Bloodstone:
Typically bloodstone is found as a deep green jasper with red spotted inclusions. This particular piece however is a beautiful specimen of the mostly crimson red variety with dark inclusions. Bloodstone has a fascinating history with a lot of fluidity when it comes to its uses. In ancient Mesopotamia, it was used to ward off evil spirits and was sometimes also used in divination. It's also commonly associated with courage and fearlessness and was worn into battle to prevent bleeding out. Later during medieval times, devout Christians wore it out of piousness- there were stories that the bloodstone had been born out hotsell of blood drops from Christ's crucifixion dropping to the deep green earth.
Fine Print:
There are bound to be irregularities which add to the individual, unique charm of each piece. Perfectly imperfect. These are not machine-made and mass-produced. Every piece I make uses purposefully selected materials and is handmade with love and intention.
I do my absolute best to make each item as durable as possible, but please bear in mind that, by nature, these pieces can be fragile. Take care of them and they will take care of you back for a long time! If you do ever end up having issues with them, please reach out and I will do everything I can to help!
Please look at each photo and the video carefully. Some stones have inclusions or irregularities; sometimes those can be appealing, other times they may not be your thing. I keep editing to a bare minimum to try to represent the stone as accurately as possible. If you would like more photos of a specific piece, please ask. I am more than happy to provide them!
