Luck Of The Irish NRFB Bent Knee HTF Madame Alexander 8" Doll Set Leprechaun.
Luck Of The Irish, NRFB, Bent Knee, HTF, Madame Alexander, 8" Doll Set, Leprechaun, Velvet Top Hat, Pot of Gold, Box, Wrist Tag, Paperwork has good condition original box with clear label, nice overall finish and shape, minimal shelf wear confined to corner tip wear, one shallow corner crease, lightened finish isolated to near lid top edges. Lid top dips a bit in the middle due to stacking, but this does not detract from overall appearance in any significant way. Photos of sold set were thoroughly and carefully compared and confirmed to be near identical in every regard except the doll is on the right side of the liner rather than the left. Also the toggles on sweater are hand rolled, so have slightly different shape from doll to doll. This current set has never been removed from box. It was my responsibility to carefully open bubble wrap bag to check contents being as new, which they are. I removed one staple, unwrapped tissue, re-wrapped tissue and wiggled the contents back into the bag without removing the other staple, so it will arrive as received. Restringing was not needed due to proper care/storage. (NOTE: Doll descriptive details in 2nd paragraph). Hair retains original style and hairnet. Hair is long in back, Bent knees are fully functional. All garments and undergarments, trims, as well as boots and boot soles are as new. Accessories are as new, never opened prior to listing. Exemplary condition throughout. Please study photos to confirm description. SHIPPING OVERAGE may apply, depending on destination. Only actual shipping label cost is charged
Indeed, this little redhead is a true Irish Lassie, with her shamrock accented peter pan collar and Aran Islands Inspired cable knit sweater with toggles. Specific knit stitches identified the Clan of the wearer and the patterns were closely guarded like generational family recipes. The acrylic knit has the look of wool, pairing nicely with her pleated skirt with center placket and navy trim band near the hemline. Her rainwear, knee length boots are a black patent and hark back to the Irish fishermen's wading boots. Her Leprechaun companion is spunky and mischievous looking with expressive painted facial features, curly cropped hair and muttons. He wears a velvet coat with long tails, knee breeches, and a striped top underneath has lively colored stripes, with knee socks to match. A gold tone Shamrock pin is fastened to his lapel next to his satin bow tie and his brass belt buckle fastens the bright blue satin belt. His oversize velvet top hat has a matching satin hatband. His black velvet shoes have a front buckle. This inimitable Irish doll set is truly unique and charming, inspiring all of us to strive for the Luck of the Irish!
MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on arrival at your home, beautiful and sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing and doll priced accordingly. I keep extensive computer files on each listing with doll and box images.)The hotsell boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care and storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually.
MY PROCESS: I remove from the box to re-style the hair and inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I feel this step is more important than listing "never removed from box." My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps, no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands, ( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors."
MY PRICES: I calculate on: How readily available (or, conversely, hard to find,) whether complete with all accessories, my costs, my labor, condition of restored doll returned to box after completing the work. To include a doll stand with your order, please add $1.00 to your total.
