Such a pretty pattern on this length of printed antique cotton! This textile dates to circa 1900 and was most likely printed in Alsace. It's a wonderful heavy weight cotton, perfectly faded with time, with a repeating, flowy floral design. The flower branches and boughs are in lovely muted shades of sage green, cocoa brown, muted blush and rose, and a dusty sky blue against a warm creamy toned ground with a vermicular design. SO lovely!!! This fabric is wonderfully sturdy and would be perfect as pillow covers or for a small upholstery project. There are so many ways to use, repurpose, and love these marvelous textiles!
MEASUREMENTS: This printed cotton measures approximately 15 inches by 121 inches. At one end there is an additional length of about 8 inches that was folded over and stitched along the side, so if you carefully remove the stitches you can get another 8 inches out of this length of fabric!
CONDITION: I have freshly laundered this fabric and it's ready to use! It is faded a bit unevenly hotsell with time, which only adds to its charm! There are a couple of very small holes near one edge, and there is a 4 inch long repair that was made on one side. This textile is not perfect, but it's in wonderful condition for this type of antique textile!!
