Stunning and quite rare English Shelley Fine Bone China Rambler Rose tea set that includes 1 tea cup, 1 saucer and 1 desert plate. Very valuable and rare find. Shelley china is definitely one of the most beautiful English porcelain makers.

Very gorgeous tea set, even more beautiful in real life. Beautiful addition to your vintage cups collection. Great gift idea as well! :)

Height of the cup approx. 6.5 cm (2.5 inches). Diameter of the saucer approx. 13 cm (5 inches) and diameter of the desert plate approx. 16,5 cm (6.5 inches).
Cup capacity when full approx. 150 ml (5 fluid ounces).

HISTORY:

The Shelley Family started production of bone china and earthenware at the Foley Works in 1925, and the business stayed in the Shelley family until 1966 hotsell when the company was taken over by Allied English Potteries. The production of Shelley China was slowly phased out and production at the Foley works concentrated on Royal Albert ware. Shelley became famous for fine bone china tea sets, though their early art deco and nursery ware are beautiful.

Tea set is in excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks or crazing. Minor wear, very fine condition.
