Must be seen to be believed - it is alive with a thousand colours and moods. Acquire this vibrant living piece of fibre art - the only one like it on the planet. A very special gift or acquisition for yourself.

Après-ski? This one will be right at home in any weather a Canadian winter can dish up!

Ifugao has a long history of handweaving. The Ifugao Weaving Cooperative is a formative grassroots initiative launched in September 2022 that desires to bring a modern interpretation to this tradition while micro-funding a collective that allows women in impoverished Ifugao communities to lift themselves out of poverty.

This is a foundational offering of the initiative and one of the first scarves made. These first scarves have been woven by Ifugao native, Jennifer U as a means to fund the cooperative start-up in her hometown of Kiangan, Ifugao. Her heart, soul, and intention are apparent in each piece. Each subsequent sale will directly monetize the initial purchase of looms and yarn for in-situ Ifugao weavers. Full documentation and transparency are available. In the spirit of full transparency, some weavers will be direct family members within the tightly knit Kiangan community. This is hard to avoid as nearly everyone in the community is related!

Thank you for your support! 100% of proceeds from the sale of this scarf will go directly to fund the purchase of start-up looms and yarn for the weaving collective so that Ifugao weavers can earn income from their weaving under the Moalu brand and, in turn, purchase vital essentials that they simply would not be able to afford otherwise. With sincere gratitude for your support!

Dimensions: 94 inches x 20 inches / 238 cm x 47 cm. Heirloom quality wool from Wales, 100% cotton, and fine art acrylic yarn. Hand washable.
