LEATHER CARE
Please note that this bag is made from camel leather which has a naturally strong smell when it comes brand new from the tannery. However, this is normal and it will fade to a normal leather smell over time - 2 weeks+. Either keep it airing out or you can use one trick that works quite well. You only need baking soda which is quite cheap to buy and it's safe to use on leather.
You can cover the bag inside and out with a thin layer of baking soda, then place it into a plastic bag or pillow case and seal it. Leave it absorbing for at least 24 hours, then vacuum off the powder and wipe clean with a soft cloth. You can repeat this step if the smell if the smell is still too strong.
PACKAGING
Please note that I primarily use recycled packaging. I just hotsell cannot bring it over myself to throw away packaging that could be reused again, and unnecessarily add more garbage to our landfills. If this is a problem for you and you would prefer new packaging - maybe if you're buying something from my shop as a gift, please choose and pay for the gift wrap option ;)
INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE CHARGES (US explained)
I get a lot of questions from American customers regarding my international postage charges which is why I'm now explaining them here to help you guys understand that I don't earn anything on these rates ;)
The absolute cheapest rate for tracked postage to the US is £20.80 if it's under 1kg incl packaging (USD 28.50), otherwise it's straight away £24.80 = USD 34.00. However, I "only" charge 24.90 Euros *flat fee* regardless of weight and number of items = USD 29.63. In most cases this means I need to fork out money out of my one pocket to make up the difference and I therefore cannot reduce the postage charges I'm afraid.
There is no other service like by boat. All parcels are sent by plane and this is a standard economy service, not express.
If there was a cheap reliable option I would offer it, but I've literally checked and tried everything, from Fedex, UPS, DPD, Hermes, Royal Mail, Parcelforce and DHL, and the only affordable and reliable option is Royal Mail.
