And what an image it is!
A rustic looking box —almost Amish in character: it is tan with perfectly mitered edges and a quarter-inch strip of black Wenge highlight, a dense exotic wood from Central Africa. When Wenge is polished or stained with a natural stain, the dark brown hue turns dark black.
Upon opening the box, the owner finds a mirror attached to the inside of the lid (hence the name; get it?). The mirror can be removed if so desired by removing four photographic points, much like the inside edges of a wooden picture frame.
The inside box floor contains a fixed Wenge tray with four compartments of unequal area. It is stained Min Wax's Natural Wood Stain, and it matches the highlight Wenge strip.
Back to the lid: did we mention it is inlaid with a 1/32nd inch thick, ½” wide, vertically laid inlay of what appears to be a south-western design. A horizontal strip of the same pattern intersects with the vertical strip at a 90-degree angle in the lower-left quadrant of the lid. The contrast between the dark hotsell brown inlay and the tan stain of the lid is striking.
It measures 6 ½” long by 5” wide by 3 ¼” high; it weighs in at only 14 ounces.
You won't have to “reflect” long on the price to know it is a real bargain at $129.
