This is an art poster featuring an artwork by Fernand Léger. It has been designed for the Galerie Maeght in Paris for an exhibition in 1955.
The poster is in very good condition with hardy any signs of handling. It is an offset-litho and is undated. The printing quality (seen with a lens) is very good with very crisp printing image so I guess it is original and not a later reprint.
Joseph Fernand Henri Léger (February 4, 1881 – August 17, 1955) was a French painter, sculptor, and filmmaker. In his early works he created a personal form of cubism (known as "tubism") which he gradually modified into a more figurative, populist style. His boldly simplified treatment of modern subject matter has caused him to be regarded as a forerunner of pop art.
