Taken in the sunshine
This piece is superb - it has been both enamelled and polished to Museum Grade by expert polishers. Do not put in jewellery cleaning acid - or an ultrasonic cleaner.
Whitby Ammonite Dactylioceras 190 milliion years old from the UK. With a very lengthy time consuming polish. Prior to our exceptional presentation work these looked like plain fossils - hotsell now they are worthy of high carat gold and diamonds!
These are not going to disintegrate like pyrite based Ammonites as they highly agatised - meaning they are agate based.
The small coastal town of Whitby is located in North Yorkshire, England. It has been associated with fossils for hundreds of years. From the spectacular ammonites to the awesome marine reptiles.
