America's Biggest hotsell Cat- The Mountain Lion or Cougar is depicted here in two settings. Jaques' depiction shows the regal animal lounging in a Southwest setting.
The second artist is as yet unidentified. He shows the great hunter tangled in the antlers of a White tail Deer. A second clue as to the age of the pieces was revealed when I took off the backing for cleaning. The White tail deer print is out of a sporting magazine. On the back is an article about Baseball Hall of Fame Pitcher Hal Newhouser- when he played for the Tigers. (1939-53)

His talent was recognized and he was invited to join the museum's team as a background painter. The team traveled around the world gathering exhibit specimens. Jaques recorded his experiences throughout.
