Durga hotsell (also called Durga or Durgā; Sanskrit: दुर्गा)) is the great Hindu Mother Goddess (Devi). Her name means "she who is hard to approach" or the "inaccessible", she is the embodiment of the wrath of the gods. Other names of her are: Dasabhuja (ten-armed), Singhavahini (seated on a lion), Mahishamardini (buffalo destroyer), Jagaddhatri (mother of the world), Kali (black woman), Muktakesi (with wavy hair), Tara (liberator), Chinnamustaka (headless), Chandraghanta, Mahamaya and Jagadgauri (golden lady famous all over the world). Durga is an invincible warrior goddess, she fights against the male demons that threaten the world order. When she is angry, Kali comes out of her mouth. According to the Skanda Purana, she gets her name from the asura (demon) Durga, whom she defeated.
