Because of this, the sarees have a coarse texture but are lightweight and easy to carry. This Dupion or raw silk is 100 percent pure silk fabric. It is silk in its best natural form. It has a lustrous shine. Dupioni is popular in bridal and other formal wear.

Handloom weave of Chattisgarh - The saree features one body color and a running/contrast blouse piece. There is a double-shaded design on the pallu (with a silk mark certified tag)
