Beautiful Revlon doll by Ideal; "Big Sister"; 20" doll with hotsell box; ca 1956 -60

This pretty doll is a tall 20" (depending on how you measure shoe and hair height), advertised to be like a big sister. She is a vinyl with jointed arms and legs; with the 'amazing new touch skin' feel. She also has a marking on the back of the head, under the hair - 14R-1. Miss Revlon has original clothes and hat, but not stockings. Her eyes are clear, she has original nail and toe polish and lip color. She also comes with pages of a booklet.

Condition: She is a sleepy eyed doll which means when you tilt/lay her down the eyes close. This doll has one lazy eye, which you have to gently touch the eyelashes to open. It stays there once you do so. She comes as is from an estate sale - I wiped down arms legs and face, but I did not do a thorough cleaning, and nor did I launder the clothes. The box is not in good shape, although the top graphic looks clear, there is a fair amount of tape on the inside holding the overall box together, and outside bottom is losing paper. Other small items:
- missing one earring
- one shoe has had some glue/repair (see last picture).
- the hat seems to be made of some kind of plastic, and has some yellowing
- the heel of one foot has a small red mark
- clothing needs laundered, I did see one spot, that looked like it might come out

Not everything is seen in the photographs. I am limited to posting ten pictures. I do have more pictures if you would like to see them - just message me and I am happy to provide (for example I have photos of the box bottom, booklet, close up of the hat, etc).

Also note that the box is large, which will mean bulky (expensive) shipping, even using ground - I have factored this in to the overall price, since it is a 'free shipping' item.


She has a sweet expression, and will display nicely. Great as a gift or for your collection.
