Sculptural long hotsell earrings, hand-hammered, sterling silver oxidized jewelry, blue-green Howlite gemstone, one-of-a-kind jewelry, “Buttoned Up"

These unique, long, swingy, hand-forged sterling silver earrings, adorned with blue-green Howlite, will make a statement when you arrive at the party. Wear them with something sleek and black.

PROCESS:
* I start with sterling silver sheet that I texture with a rivet hammer, and then using various specialty hammers, shape into a cone.
* I then use a torch to melt the edges of the slightly open cone to create an irregular crack.
* The crack is “buttoned up” with a few fine silver balls.
* The sterling silver is oxidized to a darker patina and wire brushed and buffed to a shine.
* The blue-green Howlite completes these statement earrings.

These earrings are oxidized for a darker patina and to highlight the textures. If you need to clean the earrings, wash gently with liquid soap and water, to retain the patina.
