This dazzling triple-stranded necklace and earring set is signed Hobe. Jacques Hobe, a mid 19th century Parisian goldsmith, was recognized throughout Western Europe as a producer of fine jewelry. His son William made the name Hobe famous for its mass-produced costume jewelry, that was particularly coveted by Hollywood celebrities. Hobe jewelry, quite scarce and priced accordingly, employs excellent designs with high quality stones and superior silver or gold plated metalwork. The design house closed in 1983.

This necklace and earring set showcases awesome vintage Swarovski crystals that are ultra-rare both in style and in color. They are ultrafaceted flattened ovals (art 5101) in the color crystal comet OR (crystal with a 24K gold flash over half the bead). Comet OR can to be a very fragile flash, but these crystals are in such pristine condition that they look like they just came out of the Swarovski packaging. The crystals are strung on fine chain, as Hobe necklaces often are. The crystals in the earrings are perfect, too. This is a lifetime find. The shortest strand of this dazzling necklace is 16 inches long, including the hook, and the necklace has a 3 inch extender.
