Presented is a very fine quality, French silver flatware set made by Ercuis. The pieces are in the Rocaille pattern. The handle is decorated with raised flower, shell and scroll designs. The dinner fork is a very large, European dinner-sized piece. This fork has never been monogrammed.

The Minerva Profile is that of the one used from 1972 - 1982 within the eight-sided rectangle as opposed to the oval-shaped rectangle for the second standard (plated). The Minerva mark here is modern, used after 1972 when silver content was lowered from .950 to .925. Ercuis sterling flatware touts being dishwasher safe.

This fork appears to be unused. Used as display flatware for a shop, so it has been handled, but never actually used.
