Hailing from a mind-spinning variety of original sources, authentic sea glass comes in every color of the rainbow and each shade in between, manifesting in an astonishing array of configurations and forms. So naturally, certain pieces are less common than others. And while all genuine blue sea glass is rare, pieces that simultaneously display both the bright blueberry and deep, near-black sides of the broad blue spectrum -- as beautifully exemplified by the stunning Seaham specimen used to create this handmade necklace -- are exceedingly uncommon, yet those that tumble ashore at England's famous Seaham Beach, where multicolor ocean gems are something of a signature, are scarcer still!
Smoothed, magnificently frosted and shaped into a perfect, three-dimensional teardrop (measuring three-quarters-inch tall and one-half-inch wide) only by time, the surf, sand and salt, this majestic blue bauble has been upcycled into a unique lariat necklace. Handcrafted with a focus on highlighting the innate beauty of the multidimensional glass, which features some delicate veins of varying hues of blue ensconced within, a sterling silver jump ring, sterling eye pin and a powerful clear epoxy secure this beautiful bauble to a 30-inch, sterling silver cable chain. Another sturdy silver jump ring attaches the other end of the chain to a shimmering sterling silver diamond-cut ring, through which the sea glass can be strung and looped to reach the wearer's ideal length. Designed to be worn in either direction and absolutely gorgeous in any light, this one-of-a-kind lariat necklace makes a scintillating yet timeless statement day or night!

Created after decades or centuries of tumbling across craggy ocean floors, no two pieces of authentic sea glass are exactly alike. Since each piece is very literally unique, I can't help but think of sea glass as snowflakes of the salty seas! Indeed, finding the blue-black treasure needed to create this lovely lariat was akin to hitting the proverbial jackpot, but the reality is equal parts luck and diligence. I spend hours meticulously sorting my finds in a dogged pursuit of pieces that are not only the same color (or shade thereof), but also very similarly shaped and sized. Many would find my efforts overzealous, but I am passionate about delivering only my very best work.

We think sea glass is special and our customers are important, so each jewelry purchase comes in a hand-decorated gift box. Boxes are designed to complement the contents whenever possible, and will vary accordingly. Please see the last image for some packaging samples.
