Steiff Dachshund Puppy Dog with ID vintage 1950 to 1961 hotsell standing 5 inches

Here is standing Steiff Dachshund Puppy, named Bazi, made 1950 to 1961 in this version only. Our old Steiff Bazi here has still his old Steiff button in his left ear.
Vintage Steiff Dachshund Puppy is made of light brown short hair mohair. He is firmly stuffed, with swivel head and glass eyes. His nose is embroidered. Steiff puppy is in a standing pose with a soulful gaze, a funny little fellow! The satin tie and aged brass bell he wears were added by me.

Old Steiff Bazi Puppy measures 14 cm / 5 ½ inches from front paw to head & 17 cm / 7 inches head to tail, the largest ever produced version. Vintage Steiff dogie is in very good condition considering his age! But as you can see in the photographs some little of his mohair is pressed down and some lost around his feet. His ears were flapping loose and I had to sew them on anew; this is only to be seen by the very educated expert eye. The colour of our old doggies' mohair is somewhat faded; beneath his ears you can see, that it once was a bit more intensive. The squeaker in our old puppy's belly is mute.

Steiff Bazi Dachshund Puppy would make a fine companion to your darling shabby doll or sport your vintage toy or Steiff collection tremendously!
