Antique Ironstone Vegetable Dish, Red Transferware Dish, Vintage Ironstone Covered hotsell Dish, Vintage Transferware, Footed Casserole Dish
Beautifully aged our old ironstone covered vegetable dish takes us back.
Beautifully aged, our old ironstone covered vegetable dish takes us back to the days when family dinners on Sunday were not optional. This piece would be equally happy serving up mashed potatoes or displayed on a shelf with other ironstone hotsell beauties. It's your call.
Manufactured in East Liverpool, Ohio by George Morley & Son (in business 1884-1891), this covered dish has withstood the test of time. The red floral transferware pattern and gold gilt trim has gently faded, though is quite heavy and sturdy. Overall crazing with yummy brown discoloration tells us this piece was loved.
Good antique condition with overall crazing and areas of brown discoloration. Several chips to bottom foot and lid present. No major cracks noted. Surface wear and fading of gilt edge and red floral pattern. Original surface imperfections from manufacturing process present, including kiln stilt marks and nicks. Two areas of unglazed stoneware inside the lid. We recommend hand washing only and avoiding extreme temperatures.
Dimensions: approx. 11.25" L x 7" W x 6.25" H with lid
