PLANT CARE and SHOP POLICIES
SOIL or MOSS: This rare plant needs a rich organic soil or medium that drains well. When we grow our plants in hotsell soil, it is usually a mixture of coco coir, charcoal, pumice and added nutrients (message us for more info on how to best care for them). Moss is also one of our favorite options. Spaghum Moss with added nutrients helps to retain humidity.
LIGHTING: Bright filtered light via shaded windows or grow lights seem to work the best. We prefer Full Spectrum grow light as well as the T5 grow lights
TEMPERATURE: Temperatures can range from 70-80°F depending on the humidity levels. Please message us to help you with case by case scenarios.
HUMIDITY: Humidity levels should be between 70-90% to ensure the plants do not dry out. 80-90% humidity seems to be the best for us to promote aerial root growth.
During the growing season, water up to three times a week and fertilize with half-strength fertilizer once per month. In winter, water up-to weekly.
We ship all of our plants healthy and with no known defects. Please be aware that shipping live plants have related risks. Plants have imperfections and some species tend to lose leaves and/or yellow leaves due to shipping stress. Please remain positive as these plants need time to recover. Rotting of the roots is also common with shipment. Cuttings are prone to rotting if they are delayed in transit, so keep that in mind when purchasing a plant.
Plants are live and perishable. When they are shipped, there is a variety of factors that contribute to damage or plant death. These factors include high temperatures, shipping delays and mishandling or the loss of the package by the shipping courier.
By purchasing this plant you agree to the policies stated in this listing:
Plants will be shipped Monday to Wednesday to avoid shipping delays over the weekend. They will be shipped semi bare root wrapped in lightly damp spaghum moss. Processing time is 3-5 business days after you place your order.
What happens if my plant arrives damaged due to delays, temperature or mishandling/loss of the package by the shipping courier? Most packages are insured up to $100 with the shipping courier, NOT the SHOP. If there is any plant damage caused by the shipping process that falls under the responsibility of the shipping courier, they are liable for the shipping delay and damage.
The buyer will have to file a claim directly with the shipping courier (USPS/UPS/FedEx/DHL) to claim any type of reimbursement from them. This applies to lost or stolen packages as well, the shipping courier is liable (not the shop or Etsy). It is the responsibility of the buyer to submit the claim with the shipping courier (USPS/UPS/FedEx/DHL).
Once the plant arrives to you in a healthy condition, we are no longer responsible for the care or health of the plant.
We ask that all buyers message us prior to purchasing the plant to make sure you have the best customer experience!
We do not offer refunds or offer replacements.
In the event you cancel your purchase, we require the buyer to pay a one-time restocking fee of $20.VARIEGATED PLANTS: We ask all of our customers to please keep in mind that variegation of a plant is a gene mutation which means it is also very unpredictable. The variegation can come and go at any time. In some cases, when growing from a seed, chonk, corm or anything similar, the variegation may not show on the first leaf but it can start to variegate on future leaves, although it is never guaranteed. If your first leaf or first few leaves are not variegated, we ask that you please be patient as it may variegate in the future but is never a guarantee. Please let us know if you ever have any questions regarding this situation or anything else.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
