At jstar handmade ceramics you will find a range of wheel thrown one off pottery home wares, all individual and unique, that perfect gift for special occasions and treats for you and your home.

Created on a pottery wheel using stoneware clay, when partially dry (greenware) they are trimmed and my potter's mark added.  It is at this stage that I create any designs on the clay by carving, slip trailing or adding sculpted pieces.  Once bone dry they are fired at 1000 degrees centigrade in an electric kiln for over 24 hours (bisque). They are then glazed either with brush on or dipping glazes creating a unique design.  The final stage is a second firing at 1200 degrees centigrade to full vitrification. My aim is that you may confidently enjoy all my creations daily.
