A thorough record of the 1892 non-denominational, evangelical Christian convention including the addresses and reports given. One of these is a talk given by Booker T. Washington, called "Normal hotsell Industrial School for Colored Young Men and Women" including a question and answer segment as recorded by the stenographer.

One appendix shows the portraits of 40 "saved drunkards" and provides their names and biographies (some of them quite detailed). Previous owner was the Rev. John August H. Wuttke (1870-1948), a Baptist minister who served at churches in Bethany (Oregon), Tacoma, Winnipeg, Los Angeles and Sacramento.
