This beautiful 28x14-inch rounded rectangular mirror was painstakingly crafted using a wonderful collection of beach stones, crinoid fossils, and multi-colored beach glass—all hand-selected from the lovely Lake Michigan shoreline near my home in southwest Michigan. This unique mirror is a Lake Michigan Memories creation and cannot be purchased from any other source but here on Etsy. (Unfortunately, I have found some of my work showing up on other scam websites.)

After prepping the mirror with a fresh coat of black paint, I began by carefully piecing together and tightly adhering the colorful, multi-sized beach stones to the wide outer frame. After completely covering the entire frame in hotsell a mosaic fashion, I then neatly hand-polished each stone, restoring the wet, shiny look I saw when picking each rock from the water's edge and showcasing the wide variety of colors, textures, and patterns. In the close-up photos I've included, this can be seen well. (Please note that the cloudy mirror seen in those close-up photos is only the result of removing myself from those pictures!) The next step was to strategically add a myriad of multi-sized crinoids and a handful of wave-worn pieces of light blue, white, green, and brown beach glass. The finished piece reminds one of a truly successful day of Lake Michigan beachcombing!

This gorgeous mirror is ready to hang vertically from two sturdy inset wall hangers as well as a heavy, tightly mounted rope. At 28 x 14 inches, it will be a beautiful addition to any room or office—perfect in a small bathroom, a living room, dining room, bedroom, a hallway—or any room where a memory of the outdoors is welcome!
