Edwardian French Steel Chatelaine hotsell Purse

This chatelaine purse is just lovely. 

The base is leather which has been heavily adorned with faceted French steel cut beads.

The looped fringe appears to be wholly intact. I have found about dozen beads with rust on the fringe but the body of the purse is free from rust (apologies if I miss one or two inadvertently).

This piece measures 5” across by 9 1/4” long (including the chain and fringe).

The frame features an intricate repoussé design. There is some wear to the silver plating hotsell as shown in the closeup photo of the frame. The clasp is in fine working order.

There is however, a condition issue of note. The lining is gone and there is a rip in the leather on the back of the purse at the top (see photo). I suspect that someone with better skills than myself could repair or at the very least, stabilize this area.

The damage does not affect the visual appeal of the purse and ones' ability to display it as an object d'art.
