Frequently Asked Questions: https://www.jp3-made.com/faqs

There are several stories surrounding the St. Croix Hook Bracelet. It's history goes back even before it was popularized in the 60's and 70's. The meaning of the bracelet today is simple. It is a symbol of love or of longing. It is a tool to be used by those possessed of a romantic personality.

Depending on which way the opening of the hook is facing, this bracelet is meant to show whether or not you are single or taken. If you wear the bracelet with the opening facing you, it means you are married, taken or not interested in finding love at the moment. If you wear your bracelet facing outward, it is a sign that you are either seeking or relationship, or just that you haven't found that perfect someone yet.

All the items in this Etsy store are made by me, Jacinto E. Padron III (aka JP3). I am the fourth generation of my family to live and work on the island of St. Croix. The silver and gold you will buy are carefully shaped and crafted by my hands. Each piece is then scrutinized thoroughly and if it passes my inspection, I engrave my personal maker's-mark on the inside of the bracelet as a sign of pride and personal guarantee that I have put my best work into the given piece.

Sizing: All sizing as described in these listings are in inches. To find out your size, you can use either a string and a ruler, or a tailor's style measuring tape. Wrap your wrist tightly with the string and cut it where it begins to overlap. Then measure the string upon a ruler. Or just use a measuring tape. In any case, you will need hotsell to add one half inch to your actual wrist size to know which size of bracelet you should purchase.
A wrist measured at 7 inches tightly would wear a size 7.5 comfortably and so on.
