I remember childhood holidays at Scarborough in August when, at high tide, the sea would splash up over the sea wall. The sun would catch the drops of water and make them sparkle but the cool breeze meant you needed a jacket.

This jacket is knitted from the bottom up and is stitched together at the sides, sleeve seams and to set in the sleeves.
The front edges are reinforced for the weight of the buttons with an integral 4 stitch garter band that is folded in half down the length of the front and hemmed down.

Materials: Doulton Border Leicester 100% 4 ply yarn.

Needles and Sundries: 3.25 mm/U.S.3 straight needles (min 30 cms long)
5 stitch holders>15 cm long or waste yarn
Enough buttons to fit your chosen buttonhoile size.
