Weller's Eocean was produced from 1898 through sometime between 1915-1918. It is most often found in a shaded gray background but upon rare occasion you will find a piece in shades of pink, green, blue or yellow. The Rose or hotsell pink variation has the typical shaded gray background with a pink tint at the lightest end. The most collectible Eocean forms are the highly decorated and artist signed.
Here we have a beautiful 5 inch tall Eocean mug with a nice pointy handle. The berries and leaves are extremely well detailed with outstanding color. The handle is in marvelous shape. This is the perfect mug to add to a Weller collection. A perfect display piece.
Exceptional mug in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Very minor underglaze crazing on this wonderful vase. It may appear more pronounced due to the macro lens used for the photography. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. I cannot detect and repairs or modifications to this piece. Authentic and signed on the bottom.
All images are original and un-edited. The white spots are studio light reflections. Authentic Weller Pottery and impressed on the bottom.
